Description:
This wall-mounted relief depicts a representation of the ancient being known as Cthulhu, a primordial entity referenced in the heretical Necronomicon and countless unearthed cult fragments. The figure bears cephalopodic features, clawed limbs, and draconic wings—traits associated with the so-called “Great Old Ones.”Historical Context:
Thought to be a devotional artifact or protective ward created by a long-lost pre-human civilization, the plaque likely served as both icon and warning. Scholars note the presence of astral alignment symbols surrounding the figure—suggesting a connection to cyclical cosmic events and “The Great Sleep” beneath the ocean.
Recovered under questionable circumstances by diver-archaeologist Willem Drenk, whose expedition journal ends abruptly with a single entry:
“It moved.”
