"Deep in the trench lie the Abyssal Vaults, where Dagon’s drowned treasures and forbidden relics sleep. The Guardian, armored in living shell and bearing the Trident of the Deep Lock, is bound by blood to Dagon’s will. They watch without rest, for no current stirs without their knowing. When one Guardian falls, another is anointed in salt and shadow, ensuring the Vaults remain sealed until Dagon himself calls for their opening."
